A full rebrand for a fitness and wellness practice, repositioned from a dated identity toward something that finally matched the quality of the work inside.
Optimal had outgrown its original brand. Full creative direction, strategy, design, and copywriting from the ground up, with every decision built around attracting clients who treat their physical health as a long-term investment and expect the brand they choose to reflect that.

The existing identity was working against the practice. Bright neon tones and clinical whites communicated accessible gym rather than high-end boutique, underselling the quality and precision of what was actually on offer. The goal was to reposition toward a more discerning clientele without losing the warmth that makes the practice approachable.

The rebrand moved Optimal away from the bright, generic fitness palette entirely. The deepened blue shed its clinical roots while keeping a subtle nod to the existing brand. Clean typography, structured layouts, and a full photography direction reset reinforced a message of precision and long-term investment. Rather than the bright, high-key fitness imagery they'd had before, I pushed for dark studio photography that matched the elevated tone of the new identity. The logo was redesigned to replace the stock-style figure mark with something more refined, controlled, and ownable.

The client wanted to retain equity from their existing logo and blue brand color rather than start from scratch. The blue stayed but was deepened and refined to shed the bright, clinical quality of the original. The logo was modernized while keeping enough familiarity to feel like an evolution.
